Homegrown Halloween Parade & Monsters Ball
Sunday, Oct. 30 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on and around the square in downtown Decatur. The event is geared for all ages and is free to the community. Put on your most ghoulish costume and come celebrate Halloween. 4 p.m. – local zombies and goblins, young and old, will meet at the Community Bandstand for a walking parade around downtown Decatur. 5 – 7 p.m. – enjoy the haunting sounds of The Dammages (www.thedammages.com) as they claim the bandstand for the Monsters’ Ball, an all-ages costumed dance and band party. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy live music, door prizes from local businesses and some tricks and treats to round out the festivities. The event is sponsored by HomeGrown Decatur, an artists’ market at 412 Church St.

All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit KW Cares and The Decatur Education Foundation.
